When you NEED physical therapy

Cambridge Physical Therapy Center is for you!
Dear patients and families,

May 17, 2021
With new guidance out from the CDC and the Governor, our policy for mask wearing is as follows:

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following statement May 14, 2021, directing the Ohio Department of Health to conform the remaining health orders to CDC guidance through June 2nd:

“Ohio will be amending our remaining health orders to comply with the new CDC guidance, which says that those who have been vaccinated no longer need to wear masks, while those who have not been vaccinated should still wear a mask and socially distance.

"The CDC still recommends everyone wear masks when they are in a healthcare setting, when they are travelling on public transportation, including airplanes, and when they are in a business or employer that chooses to require masks. Our order will be amended to reflect these recommendations, as well.”

Cambridge Physical Therapy Center will follow the Governor’s and the CDC’s recommendations regarding our employees and patients. Although we are a healthcare setting, we do not treat patients that are ill or seeking treatment for illnesses such as COVID and the flu. You will not be required to wear masks in our facility if you are fully vaccinated or have a medical condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask. All our employees are fully vaccinated.

Should you feel more comfortable with your therapist wearing a mask while treating you, please ask them and they will abide by your wishes.

We will continue to expect that should anyone be experiencing symptoms related to any contagious illness including COVID-19, to call us to reschedule your physical therapy appointments.

We will continue to maintain our always strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures as well as continue to maintain social distancing among our patients and staff as allowed by our facility.

We also expect common courtesy among our staff and patients to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable whether an individual chooses to wear a mask or not.

Should you have any questions regarding this guidance, please feel free to ask.

Why a Physical Therapist?

Physical therapists are your perfect partners in health. They are experts in the way the body moves. As highly educated health care professionals, physical therapists help you maintain mobility and quality of life without surgery or prescription medication, in many cases.

Physical therapists can get you moving and enjoying life again, using scientifically-based treatment techniques that focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing injury.

A physical therapist, often in collaboration with you and your physician, will work to help you achieve a healthy, active lifestyle and can help you manage your health over the long term.

Why-A-Physical-Therapist

What Can You Expect from a Physical Therapist?

Because physical therapists graduating today are required to have a graduate degree - either a master's degree or clinical doctorate - and pass national and state licensure examinations before being allowed to practice, you can expect the best professional care.

Most insurance plans cover physical therapist services. On your first visit, your physical therapist will spend a significant amount of time evaluating your condition and determining when and why it occurs. She or he may then work with your physician to develop the best plan of care for you - one that will get you moving again and deliver long-term results.

Physical therapists understand that the road to recovery is personal, so you will always receive a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. You are the most important member of your own health care team and you have the freedom to choose your own physical therapist. Please insist that your physical therapy be provided only by a licensed physical therapist.
